Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED)

Dr. Andrea Greiter-Wilke has been active in the field of safety pharmacology for 13 years, leading the Safety & Pharmacology group at F. Hoffmann-La Roche, Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED), based in Basel, Switzerland. She has overall responsibility for all safety pharmacology related topics for Roche pRED compounds with a focus on the cardiovascular area, including regulatory questions on SP for marketed compounds. In addition, she oversees all inhouse toxicology and pharmacology studies.

Dr. Greiter-Wilke is a Diplomate in Safety Pharmacology (DSP) and an active member of the Safety Pharmacology Society, serving on several committees. She is also a member of the EFPIA S7B/E14 Support Group discussing the CiPA initiative, and several cardiovascular interest groups within ILSI-HESI.


Dr. Greiter-Wilke is a veterinarian by training (Veterinary University of Vienna) and held post-doctoral positions at both Cornell University (Ithaca, NY) and Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge, LA). During her veterinary education, she also spent 4 very exciting and educational weeks at the Vet school in Onderstepoort which she still keeps in very good memory!
